Communication Sciences and Disorders Department Scholarships
Three to four of these scholarships are given out each school year, which range from $1000 to $2000. They are intended for students who have demonstrated good academic performance (GPA 3.0 or above) and who have a financial need. Biola’s financial aid office will coordinate this loan with other loans the student is receiving to ensure compliance with federal rules.
The Helen Grace Colbert Yates Loan Program
Helen Grace Colbert Yates was a woman who believed in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. She demonstrated this by leaving a sum of money to be distributed as no-interest loans to students studying this field. Loans are approximately $1000-2500 per school year & can be re-applied for each year. This loan may only be used for tuition, books and lab fees and may not be used for room, board or travel expenses and may not be disbursed as cash to the student. Biola’s financial aid office will coordinate this loan with other loans the student is receiving to ensure compliance with federal rules.
