NetID: How to Choose or Change Your Alternate Email Address

Introduction

If you have forgotten your NetID password, or can't log into your Biola email account, you can receive password reset information at an alternate personal email address. Without an alternate email address, it is more difficult to get the information you need.

StepWhat to Do
1Open a browser on your computer and go to myaccount.biola.edu.

Log in with your NetID and NetID password.

Click on the Personal Information tab on the left-hand side of the page.

4 In the Email area, click the Update Email button.
5 In the new page, click Update Email Addresses at the bottom of the page.

Select Personal Email from the drop-down field, then Submit.

Type in your personal email address (not your Biola email address) and then click Submit.

If you're a(n)...

You should...

Current Student

Come to the IT Helpdesk in lower Metzger. Bring your picture ID card.

If you can't come to the IT Helpdesk, call the Registrar at (562) 903-4720.

Tell them the following:

  1. You have already tried the instructions given by IT.
  2. You need the Registrar to add a personal email address to your account in Biola's system.

Alumnus or Alumna

Call Alumni Relations at (562) 903-4728 or send an email to alumni.biola.edu.

Tell them the following:

  1. You have already tried the instructions given by IT.
  2. You are having trouble updating your personal email address in myaccount.biola.edu.

Alumni Relations staff will work with IT to put your personal email address into the system.

Employee

Come to the IT Helpdesk in lower Metzger. Bring your picture ID card.
