Resume Action Verbs

An important part of creating a resume that will get you noticed is to start all phrases with strong action verbs. Action verbs are generally more persuasive and help a potential employer quickly review your strengths and accomplishments. The following categories provide some examples of effective action verbs that can be used to build your resume.

Communication Skills

Negotiated price reductions of up to 30% with key suppliers
Interpreted financial information from the company’s annual report
Translated all relevant company information into three different languages
