CSB Academic Advising

As a business major, you are required to meet with your academic advisor once per semester during assigned academic advising weeks. The Academic Advisor for CSB lower division students that have not been accepted into the Crowell School of Business is Allison Walton. CSB Upper Division academic advising (students accepted into CSB) is done by the faculty. See the information below. To find out who your advisor is, refer to your degree audit on MyAccount. You must bring a printed copy of your audit to your appointment.

The purpose of academic advising is:

• To assist you with course selection
• Provide your individual PIN number to access registration
• Confirm if you are on course for graduation
• Discuss off-campus/transfer recommendations, requirements, and restrictions
• Discuss internships, jobs, and any other questions you may have

Graduation Application

All students must create a Graduation Application when the student has 95 units. They will use the Planner feature on Degree Audit to build their Application (see advisor for link to demo video). After downloading it as a PDF, they will submit it to business@biola.edu for the departmental review.

Once the Department Chair has approved it, they will email the student with final instructions to get the approved application in to the Registrar through an online form. Until the Registrar receives a department approved application, the student will not be given a Time Ticket to register on MyAccount. Students with applications turned in late to the Registrar (any application received on or after the 1st day of your final semester), will receive a $200 late fee.
