Health Requirements

All Biola students (excepting those in online-only programs) are required to have health insurance. They are also required to, upon admission, submit the following health forms: Health History, Meningitis Advisory, TB Screening Questionnaire, Notice of Privacy Practices, and a copy of Immunization Records showing at least two doses of MMR. For students living on campus, they must also have received a Meningitis vaccine (ACYW135) after the age of 16. Please visit your patient portal for more details or email health.center@biola.edu.

All domestic Biola students enrolled in seven or more on-campus units or international Biola students studying in the United States (regardless of unit load) are required to either purchase the Student Health Insurance Plan procured by the university OR waive out of this requirement by furnishing proof of comparable health insurance coverage. Verification must be provided each semester. The cost of this policy is subject to change. For information regarding student health and/or health insurance, visit the Health Center website or email health.center@biola.edu.

Students participating in programs or activities (such as missions trips) that require international travel may be required to receive certain immunizations as a condition of participation. See the policy on Activities, Events, Travel, and Missions Trips.
